Summer sunset

Hand cut tear shaped earrings enamelled with a base of sapphire blue. Once fired and cooled I’ve added lumps of crackle enamel and cork brown on the top and old orange at the bottom of each earring. Firing these three additions together at 800 degrees results in a gorgeous separation of the colours to get this effect.

The earrings measure 3cm long and 1.5cm wide.
The total drop of the earring from the top of the ear hook to the bottom of the enamel earring is 4.2cm long
The back of the earrings are enamelled with black enamel powder
