Fold form enamel earrings

An unusual and one of a kind, these earrings are created using a technique known as fold forming. Before enamelling, the copper squares are heated and folded four times, a bit like origami !!
When copper is heated it becomes soft so I’m able to fold and then unfold it.
Once unfolded the copper pieces are hammered flat but the folds are left raised.
Both liquid and powdered enamel are used to apply the colours.
Once fired and cooled the raised, exposed copper lines are cleaned and buffed until shiny.
These earrings are black on the back
Each earring measures 2.3cm x2.3cm
The total drop of the earring from the top of the ear hook to the bottom of the earring is 4.2cm

*Argentium silver is hypoallergenic and low tarnish
*Argentium is certified 100% recycled.
